Hey! Welcome to Impressions magazine where we write to inform! Me, along with my team of talented writers, compiled an assortment of stories that will dazzle you and help you learn new things about the people in your community.
Our motto is to defy expectations and write honest, honourable stories that shine light on little-known issues. We hope that our work will leave an impression on you during your day-to-day interactions.

As intimidating as she appears to be, Impressions’ editor Marissa is actually a real softie with a caring heart. She never hesitates to lend a hand to anyone in need. You can count on her straightforwardness because she keeps it real and never sugarcoats her words. A confident and natural born leader, she ensures her team is on track at all times while keeping their wellbeing in mind. When she’s not busy handing out tasks and setting deadlines, she dedicates her time to supporting her favourite K-pop band, NCT.
Palma Gilliana Cardenas
Impressions' Sub-Editor
Gilliana is Impressions' sub-editor and in-house grammarista, so don't make any sort of grammatical error when you text her or speak to her. She has a knack for beautifying anyone's writing. Having trouble articulating your thoughts? Gilliana's there to help you translate those thoughts into proper writing. An eccentric genius, Gilliana always brings fresh perspectives and ideas to every group discussion. You can always rely on her help during a tough situation, and her kindness is something to admire.

Impressions' Visual Editor
Celest is a lover of oldies, Romcoms, coffee and beaches. She is a good listener before she contributes ideas and solutions to the team’s creative slumps. Her creativity and flexibility are the things that made her the visual editor of Impressions. She always has the determination to get her work done by valuing every feedback. An admitted music fanatic, she enjoys creating playlists and writing about her favourite songs.
Vanessa Peh Jun Man
Impressions' Designer
Impressions’ designer Vanessa is a kind and reliable person with an eye for details. She seems to be working 24/7, pumping out ideas and designs every moment of the day. She prefers keeping to herself, but when she does talk, her words can pack a punch. You’ll probably see her playing VALORANT if she’s not busy doing work. If not, you might catch her reading romance novels.
Kamal Sawlani Govindani

Impressions’ reporter and photographer Kamal is constantly on the look for new things which interest him. If you need help with anything tech-related, he’s the one on the team to go to. Resourceful and observant, he always finds the fastest solution to a problem. Outside the newsroom, you’ll likely find him buried deep into his laptop or exploring Singapore with his film camera.
Alan Kho Wei Ze

Whenever you’re out of ideas, Alan is always there to save the day. Alan is an outspoken, bubbly and cheerful guy who isn’t afraid to share his ideas (even though not all of them are great but shushhh don’t tell him that)! His charm lies in his energy and creativity and the ability to think out of the box. His youthful energy in addition to his willingness to help others makes him a great asset!
